This video will give you a guide to learning the immelman turn.

Once in the air, from horizontal flight into wind put full power on and pull up gently on the elevator and keep the plane going in a circular shape, (like the inside loop) only when you reach the top of the loop you do not power down and instead of bringing the plane back around to finish the loop you do a half roll (half of an aileron roll) out of the loop and finish on straight flight.
